Simple Waffle Recipes

This is a triple recipe

 

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 cups low-fat buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

Instructions:

  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl until evenly combined. Whisk buttermilk and butter together in a separate bowl. Stir buttermilk mixture into flour mixture until just barely combined. Gently add eggs (whipped until fluffy – for lighter waffles). Batter is still slightly lumpy; add vanilla extract.
  • Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Pour 3/4 cup batter into the preheated waffle iron. Cook 6 minutes (or longer if using refrigerated batter).
