Angela’s Scones

Ingredients:

1 pound of flour {high gluten bread machine flour}

1/3 c. Sugar

2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Baking Soda

6 oz of Margarine

2/3 cup Buttermilk

Raisins

Method:

Mix in 6 oz of margarine using big paddle. Add 2/3 cup buttermilk using hook paddle until a ball of dough forms. Knead it well using the ball of your hand to push dough forward, then pull back over to knead in air. Knead in the raisins well {as many as you’d like}.

Roll out dough {Large Size = 1  1/4″ thick; Small Size = 3/4″ thick} Paint on egg. Bake at 400 deg. {Large Size = 22 – 26 min; Small Size = 2 – 3 minutes less}
